Patchie is a unique-looking sweetheart of a dog waiting for a family to see how wonderful he is and offer him a spot in their home.
This guy is not just good-looking, though. He is a true gentleman through and through. Gentle inside, he still loves to play and run around outside.
Patchie is so sweet that he goes to nursing homes for visits with the people there. They all loved the kisses he dispensed along with a heavy dose of love and affection.
Patchie is great when he works with the Kids Care dog group (volunteer kids eleven-years and older), and (don’t tell the other dogs) is one of the favorites at the shelter.
Patchie appears to be a bearded collie mix and he is definitely not a puppy anymore. He is very over the chewing stage and once he adjusts to your household he will be housebroken, if not immediately then quickly. Much better than a puppy!
If you can’t take in another pet, consider a holiday gift to a local shelter. They are the ones at the forefront of saving the dogs and cats who might otherwise be killed at rural shelters. Even a small gift helps!
Save-A-Pet is committed to saving animals without the killing. They take in animals from many sources and the volunteers work with dogs. While you’re at Save-a-Pet, make a donation if you can. The cats and dogs there will appreciate it.
Save-A-Pet is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to finding loving, quality homes for each cat and dog in its care. Pets are sheltered indefinitely. The shelter strives to create an environment which enhances both awareness of and support for the humane treatment of animals. Save-A-Pet is located at 31664 North Fairfield Road, Grayslake. Their phone number is: (847) 740-7788 and their email address is www.save-a-pet-il.org. You can also see their animals at www.petfinder.com.
