Let’s not mince words. Mac is simply adorable. He’s everything most people want in a dog. This Shih Tzu is well-behaved, handsome, sweet, great with kids. Perfect for any family.

Mac has already been through heartworm treatment because his first family didn’t or couldn’t take care of him by keeping him on a heartworm preventative.

Mac is laid back and gets along with other dogs. Mac really wants to begin the new year in a home of his own – a home he really hopes will be his final one. A place where he can love and be loved; a place where he will find warm arms, a warm bed, and warm hearts. A place where his well-being is important and where he will see a vet for his annual visit to stay healthy.

Doesn’t seem like too much to wish for, does it?

Visit Mac at Save-A-Pet and see if this little guy might fit into your family. He’d look awfully cute under the tree (or next to the menorah). Just remember to never, ever get a dog or cat as a surprise gift. Always make sure that it’s an addition wanted and chosen by all in the household.

It’s easy to return ugly sweaters. Sweaters don’t have feelings. Dogs do.

Save-A-Pet is committed to saving animals without the killing. They take in animals from many sources and the volunteers work with dogs. While you’re at Save-a-Pet, make a donation if you can. The cats and dogs there will appreciate it.

Save-A-Pet is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to finding loving, quality homes for each cat and dog in its care. Pets are sheltered indefinitely. The shelter strives to create an environment which enhances both awareness of and support for the humane treatment of animals. Save-A-Pet is located at 31664 North Fairfield Road, Grayslake. Their phone number is: (847) 740-7788 and their email address is www.save-a-pet-il.org. You can also see their animals at www.petfinder.com.
