The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Retail Theft

Kalan Evans, 20, of 2814 28th Place, Kenosha, Wis.., was charged Feb. 17 with retail theft after allegedly leaving Mariano’s, 1720 N. Milwaukee Ave., without paying for $119.98 worth of alcohol.

James W. Sisson, 44, of 2229 Wright Ave., North Chicago, was charged Feb. 13 with retail theft after allegedly leaving Mariano’s, 1720 N. Milwaukee Ave., without paying for $53.98 worth of alcohol. He is due in court March 6.

Rhonda R. Rueben, 85, of 240 Audubon Way, Lincolnshire, was charged Feb. 13 with retail theft and battery after allegedly leaving Carson Pirie Scott, 3 Hawthorn Center, without paying for $112 worth on clothing accessories and cosmetics. She also allegedly battered the loss prevention officer upon being confronted. She is scheduled to appear in court March 14.

Julie J. Waryck, 21, of 26267 N. Highland Drive, Mundelein, was charged Feb. 12 with retail theft, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of a controlled substance after allegedly leaving Mariano’s, 1720 N. Milwaukee Ave., without paying for $326.69 worth of alcohol and snack bars. Police said she was later found with a needle containing heroin and a burnt spoon.

A 15-year-old female was charged Feb. 11 with retail theft after allegedly leaving Sears, 2 Hawthorn Center, without paying for $49.99 worth of clothing and shoes, police said

Stolen property

Israel Sanchez, 19, of 401 Chestnut St., Mundelein, was charged Feb. 13 with possession of stole property after allegedly being found in possession of a computer that was taken during a recent residential burglary, police said. They added he was also wanted on a warrant.

Underage drinking

Kyley L Majmudar, 18, of 407 Farmingdale Circle, Vernon Hills, was charged Feb. 16 with under age drinking after police stopped a car she was riding in. She is due in court March 6.

dui

Sara E. Dougherty, 18, of 210 S. Deerpath Drive, Vernon Hills, was charged Feb. 16 with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking. She scheduled to appear in court March 6.~.
