Vernon Hills police blotter for Dec. 26, 2012

The following incidents were listed in the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest by police does not constitute a finding of guilt; only a court of law can make that determination.

THEFT

• Mary E. Goodridge, 36, of 517 Buckingham Place, Libertyville, was charged Tuesday, Dec. 4, with retail theft, after allegedly leaving Walmart, 555 Townline Road, without paying for $28.39 worth of cat food. She faces a Jan. 10 court date.

FRAUD

• Juan J. Aguirre, 38, of 402 Tanglewood Court, Vernon Hills, was charged Wednesday, Dec. 13, with forgery, identity theft, theft and credit card fraud. He was allegedly found using another person’s credit card to make purchases at Toys R Us, 555 E. Townline Road.

POSSESSION

• Marissa V. Brown, 18, of 334 Cherry Valley Road, Vernon Hills, was charged Thursday, Dec. 13, with possession of marijuana while police were investigating a suspicious vehicle report at Century Park, 1000 Lakeview Parkway. She faces a Jan. 10 court date.
