Vernon Hills Police Blotter for Aug. 14 to Aug. 20, 2012

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
VERNON HILLS
ALCOHOL
Two males were arrested Aug. 5 at Century Park, 1000 Lakeview Parkway. Riley M. Adkisson, 19, of 313 Ardmore Court, Vernon Hills, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and underage consumption of alcohol. Marcus E. Bradford, 19, of 301 Cypress Lane, Libertyville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, underage consumption of alcohol and possession of alcohol by a minor. They were noticed in the park after closing, according to the police report. Adkisson and Bradford were later released and are scheduled to appear in court Sept. 13 in Mundelein.
DRUGS
Jordan J. Fahrner, 20, of 285 S. Greenview, Mundelein, was arrested Aug. 3 at Grosse Pointe Park and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 17-year-old female juvenile also was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the police report, they allegedly were in possession of glass pipes used for smoking marijuana. Fahrner allegedly also had a marijuana and a marijuana grinder, reports stated. They were later released and are scheduled to appear in court Sept. 13 in Mundelein.
Michael Nedelka, 51, of 7736 Geneva Drive, Gurnee, was arrested Aug. 8 at state Route 60 and Route 21 and charged with possession of marijuana. He also was cited for driving without his seatbelt fastened and tinted license plate covers. According to the police report, Nedelka was found in possession of marijuana during the traffic stop. He was released on $120 cash bond pending a Sept. 13 court date in Mundelein.
A 17-year-old male juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana Aug. 8 in a parking lot on the 200 block of West Hawthorn Parkway. According to the police report, an officer was conducting a check of the area when the teen was spotted in possession of marijuana. He was given a notice to appear and released pending an Oct. 11 court date in Mundelein.
A 17-year-old female juvenile was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal lane use Aug. 8 after a traffic stop at U.S. Route 45 and Fairway Drive. According to the police report, the teen was observed weaving in traffic. She was issued a notice to appear and released pending a Sept. 13 court date in Mundelein.
THEFT
Sally Duarte-Jimenez, 18, of 26206 N. Hickory Ave., Mundelein, was charged with retail theft July 31 at JC Penney, 4 Hawthorn Center. According to the police report, she left the store without paying for $157 worth of clothing. She was issued a notice to appear and released pending a Sept. 13 court date in Mundelein.
Kamil Kapica, 20, of 220 Colony Court, Vernon Hills, was charged with retail theft Aug. 3 at Walmart, 555 Townline Road. According to the police report, he left the store without paying $18.20 worth of underwear and tape. He was issued a notice to appear, released and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 13 in Mundelein.~.
