Through Feb. 29: Artist Thom Kapheim will present an interpretive show, “The Door.” Kapheim will explore his thoughts on a common church door in the first 2012 exhibit at the Undercroft. The door that is the basis of the show is an outside entry to the hallway that connects the 1880 portion of Christ Episcopal Church to its turn-of-the-century addition. The process will begin with a display of sketched ideas and proceed in steps as two- and three-dimensional art grows from the sketches, changing from week to week. “Wrapping It Up” celebration will be held from 1-4 p.m. Feb. 18.

Auditions & Opportunities

Theme choices are Siblings and Seasons. Poetry submissions will be selected by a jury for a local exhibition throughout April 2012. Selected adult poets will be invited to read their poems April 8 at The Art Center of Highland Park.
