The annual Daddy/Daughter Dance is “a Libertyville tradition,” according to Connie Kowal, director of recreation and the Sports Complex for the Village of Libertyville. This year’s event is 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at Butterfield School, 1441 W. Lake St. “It’s for dads and daughters to enjoy a wonderful night together right in that Valentine’s Day window,” Kowal said.

Fathers and their girls, ages 4-11, will dance to music played by a professional DJ, eat delicious desserts and have a professional photo taken of the two of them by Studio West.

The cost is $25 per couple for Libertyville residents, $35 for nonresidents, $10 per additional daughter.

“Everyone has fun,” Kowal said. “I remember when my daughter Lauren and I went to it way back in the late ’80s. It was a special memory. This event is the kind of memory that dads and daughters will cherish forever.”
